What is Foscarnet?

Foscarnet is an antiviral agent it is used in the treatment of acyclovir-resistant mucocutaneous herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections in immunocompromised persons (eg, with advanced AIDS) and as a treatment of CMV retinitis in persons with HIV.
